Seville, Granada and Córdoba by Private Transfer
Driving times between Andalusia's three great cities, when a private car beats the AVE train, and how to time the Alhambra and the Mezquita.
The distances that matter
From Málaga Airport, Granada is about 1 h 45, Córdoba 2 h and Seville 2 h 15. Between the cities, Seville to Córdoba is 1 h 30 and Córdoba to Granada around 2 h. Those numbers make a two-city trip comfortable in a long weekend and all three feasible in four or five days.
When the train wins, and when it doesn't
The AVE between Seville and Córdoba is fast and hard to beat for two people travelling light. A private car wins when you are three or more, when you have luggage, when your hotel is not near the station, or when you want to stop at a white village or a vineyard on the way. Prices are per vehicle, so a family of four often pays less than four rail tickets.
Timing the Alhambra
Alhambra tickets carry a fixed entry slot for the Nasrid Palaces and late arrivals are refused. Work backwards from that slot and add 30 minutes of slack — we set the pickup time accordingly.
Heat, parking and old-town access
All three centres restrict traffic and summer afternoons are punishing. A driver who drops you at the nearest permitted point and collects you at an agreed corner saves both a long walk in 40 °C and a parking search that can take half an hour in Córdoba's Judería.
