About Costa Brava
The Costa Brava runs 200 km from Blanes to the French border and is nothing like the flat resort coasts further south. Pine forests fall into turquoise coves, the camins de ronda footpaths link one beach to the next, and villages such as Calella de Palafrugell, Begur and Cadaqués have kept their whitewashed character. Distances between coves are short but the roads are winding, which is why most visitors travel by private transfer.

Travel tips
- Most coves have tiny car parks that fill by 10:00 in August.
- June and September have the same sea temperature as July with half the crowds.
- Many hotels and restaurants close between November and Easter.
