Famous red prawns, a fishing harbour and quiet Costa Brava coves
About Palamós
Palamós is a working fishing port famous across Spain for its red prawn, the gamba de Palamós. Around the harbour you find a fishing museum, a daily fish auction and seafood restaurants, while just north lie some of the Costa Brava's prettiest coves: Cala s'Alguer, Castell and Cala Estreta. The town is about 120 km from Barcelona Airport and 45 km from Girona Airport.
