About L'Estartit
L'Estartit, part of Torroella de Montgrí, faces the Medes Islands, one of the best-protected marine reserves in the western Mediterranean. Divers, snorkellers and glass-bottom boat passengers come for groupers, octopus and coral. The town has a long sandy beach ideal for families and sits next to the Montgrí massif and the Ter river wetlands. It is about 140 km from Barcelona Airport and 50 km from Girona Airport.
