About Marbella
Marbella keeps two lives running side by side. One is the old town behind the walls, where Plaza de los Naranjos has served orange trees and tapas since the fifteenth century. The other is the Golden Mile heading west, a line of five-star hotels, beach clubs and gated villas ending at Puerto Banús. La Concha mountain rises 1,200 m directly behind, which is why the microclimate stays mild all winter. Málaga airport is 55 km east, roughly 45 minutes on the motorway.
