About Estepona
Estepona spent the last fifteen years turning its old town into a garden: thousands of pots on whitewashed walls, a route of large-scale murals across apartment blocks, and a 20 km promenade along the seafront. It is calmer and more Spanish than Marbella, 25 km east, with a working fishing port and the Sierra Bermeja rising red behind. Málaga airport is 85 km away, about an hour and five minutes via the AP-7 toll road.

- The old town is a pedestrian maze; the Plaza de las Flores is the natural pick-up point.
