Figueres travel guide & transfers

Dalí's theatre-museum and the gateway to the northern Costa Brava

About Figueres

Figueres is the capital of the Alt Empordà and the town Salvador Dalí turned into his greatest artwork: the Dalí Theatre-Museum, crowned by giant eggs, is one of the most visited museums in Spain. Beyond Dalí, Figueres has a huge 18th-century fortress, a toy museum and a Thursday market. It sits 140 km from Barcelona and 40 km from Girona Airport, and is the natural stop on the way to Cadaqués, Roses and the French border.
