Calella, Catalonia

Calella travel guide & transfers

Lively Maresme beach town with a lighthouse and long sandy coast

About Calella

Calella is the busiest resort on the Maresme coast, 70 km north of Barcelona Airport. Its 3 km beach, pedestrian shopping street and wide choice of hotels make it a favourite for package holidays, cycling groups and triathletes training for the Ironman Calella. The town keeps a real Catalan centre with a Sunday market, and Barcelona is reachable by train in an hour — but arriving with suitcases is easiest by private transfer.
