Leaving Platja d'Aro

Pick-ups in Platja d'Aro work best with an exact street address and a clear entrance: old towns, pedestrian zones and resort complexes often have restricted vehicle access, so tell us where a car can actually stop. Hotel check-out is usually late morning, which rarely lines up with the departure time; if you have hours to spare, ask about a later collection rather than waiting in a lobby with your bags. Local knowledge from the outbound journey still applies on the way back: Give the full address in Platja d'Aro, not just the resort name; many hotels and villas share similar names. Request child seats, boosters or space for golf, ski or diving gear when booking.

Arriving at Girona Airport for your flight

Girona–Costa Brava is a smaller airport with mostly low-cost flights; bag-drop desks often open only a couple of hours before departure, so time your arrival accordingly. As a working example, for a 14:00 short-haul flight you would aim to be at the airport around 12:00; with 35 min of driving and a 20-minute traffic margin, that means leaving Platja d'Aro at about 11:05. Add more time for long-haul flights, checked sports equipment or assistance requests.

Why choose a private transfer from Platja d'Aro?

Over 40 km, a direct private car removes the changes between local transport, stations and the final walk that public options usually involve. The fare is fixed per vehicle, so families and groups pay the same total whether two or seven people travel. Choose an Economy Sedan for up to 3 passengers, a Comfort SUV for 4, or a Premium Minivan for up to 7 with matching luggage. Child seats, boosters and extra stops can be arranged in advance.

Useful tips before travelling to Girona Airport

Book the return as soon as your departure time is known; it is easy to arrange both directions together. Plan to reach the airport about 2 hours before short-haul flights and 3 hours before long-haul flights. Send your flight or train number when booking so we can time the pick-up around it. Check-out times rarely match departure times — tell us if you want a later pick-up and a luggage stop. Keep passports, boarding passes and medication in a small bag rather than in the boot. Have your bags packed and ready at reception a few minutes before the agreed time.
