How T1 and T2 are laid out, where drivers wait, and how long you really need for a connection.

Barcelona El Prat Airport Guide: Terminals, Arrivals and Meeting Points

T1 and T2 are 4 km apart

A free shuttle bus links them every 6–7 minutes and takes about 10 minutes. Most full-service airlines use T1; several low-cost carriers use T2B and T2C. Check your terminal the night before, because meeting points differ.

Where your driver waits

In T1 the meeting point is in the arrivals hall on floor 0, by the exits from baggage reclaim. In T2 drivers wait outside the corresponding module. Our driver always carries a sign with your name and messages you on WhatsApp when your flight lands.

Timing your departure

For Schengen flights allow two hours at the airport, three for long-haul in peak season. From the city centre we recommend leaving 3h before Schengen departures and 3h30 before intercontinental ones, an hour more during morning rush.
